Toddler and baby recipes
The recipes below will help to introduce your baby to a range of tastes and textures. And to make sure they eat enough at one mealtime, there are both main dishes and desserts to tempt your baby. Don't forget to purée the meals at the start of weaning and then gradually increase the texture as your baby gets older, until about 12 months, when you can introduce toddler sized pieces.
You can also make sure that long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LCPs) are still included on those occasions when you are giving them a quick snack. Mackerel on a slice of wholemeal toast is a great option, but make sure you choose fillets without any bones. A boiled egg can also be a quick and easy source of LCPs. If you need to use ready-made baby meals from time to time, make sure you choose recipes that include fish, meat or eggs.
To save you having to cook different meals, these recipes are designed to appeal to the whole family, which means you can also have mealtimes together.
Moving on from breastfeeding or infant milk
To complement our recipes, from 6 months onwards you may also want to move your baby onto a follow-on milk. Our award winning Follow On milk is nutritionally tailored with our unique blend of GOS/FOS prebiotics, nucleotides and extra iron, vitamins and minerals to meet your baby's growing needs as part of a mixed weaning diet.
