We’ve teamed up with Allergy UK to bring you even more cows' milk protein allergy resources
At Aptamil, we’re dedicated to bringing you the most relevant and up-to-date information on cows’ milk protein allergy (CMPA). That’s why we’ve teamed up with Allergy UK, the leading medical charity for people with allergy, food intolerance and chemical sensitivity, to improve your understanding of the condition and help you get the best support for your baby.
While CMPA is the most common childhood allergy, it actually only affects 2 – 7.5% of babies under the age of 1 year. And many of them grow out of it by the time they reach three. Because so few babies suffer from the condition and the symptoms are so wide, it can make positive diagnosis difficult. So you may experience a number of visits to your GP to rule out other conditions before a CMPA diagnosis is achieved. But once you know what the problem is you can concentrate on managing the daily symptoms. That’s where Aptamil Pepti 1 and 2 can help. These special formulas have been specifically developed for babies and toddlers with CMPA , so your GP may recommend trying them as an alternative to normal formulas in infants or cows' milk in toddlers. Find out more about Aptamil Pepti 1 and Pepti 2 on our product pages.
